Please be advised that critical system upgrades and preventative maintenance to our NetAlberta Internet servers will occur on: Sunday January 31, 2010 between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. These upgrades will provide you with even more reliable and stable hosting services. During this maintenance time, websites and e-mail may be down but e-mail will be backed up and delivered when the systems are back online. IMPORTANT:

Due to a major network upgrade and Old Strathcona's seemingly constant downgrade, we have installed a new door system. Now front door visitors are allowed access electronically by a buzz-in system (with video), just like at major penal institutions. |

The World Health Organization raised the swine flu alert to Phase 6 - its highest level - saying the H1N1 virus has spread to enough countries to be considered a global pandemic. We just wanted to remind our clients that web proofing is an efficient way to impede the transmission of viruses. |

When Women Building Futures asked us to come up with a simple but 'edgy' Fringe ad, it was hard to control ourselves. There were just so many headline potentials. In the end, "You supply the estrogen, we supply the tools" was picked as the winner. Not bad. You can see the ad in our portfolio under 'Print Ads'. We are also getting ready to launch the new Women Building Futures content managed web site. |

We recently created a new logo for a environmentally friendly ink cartridge refill and disposal company Greenway Ink. The logo combined the letter 'G' with the recycle arrow - for a clean, unique and easy to reproduce corprorate identity. We were sad to say goodbye to Lewis Siong - a print designer that had been with our company for a year. Lewis decided that Toronto was calling (yes, we told him to take more medication; the voices would stop). But when a door closes, a window opens...in England! Lewis's position will be filled August 20 by Deep Rehal - a graphic designer fresh from London, England - or somewhere in Britain. Make sure you tell Deep about our short Alberta winters and our city's retractable glass dome, like we told her in the interviews. |

CPSI performs a coordinating and leadership role across health sectors and systems, promoting leading practices with stakeholders, patients and the general public about patient safety. The video will be used to showcase the plant's new features and explain the challenges faced during project construction. A lot of people have asked if Rat Man™, our obese office cat, is on sabbatical. Why yes, he is. We had to move him out of the shop during construction. He was making the construction crew a little jumpy so he went to live with a friend. It’s been good for him, and kind of good for us. The only pet left in the studio is the lonely gold fish down in reception. |

Yes, our epic renovation continues. While the new server room and downstairs suite are completed, half the upstairs is still full of tools. When it's all done, we will have created:
a galley kitchen
a bigger boardroom/meeting room
private offices for creative staff
and a multimedia multi-purpose room.

Hök Nik recently curtailed 'Casual Fridays' when it was discovered that one of our staff members was sporting what looked to be pair of hairless 75 year old legs under their jeans. "While our firm believes that casual dress improves performance and productivity, we've come to see that long pants serve a very real purpose," said a company spokesman. |
